She and her mother relocated in Los Angeles after her high-school graduation in 2005 to further her acting career. In 2007, she began her acting career in Music and Lyrics, a romantic comedy with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. She sang a number of songs for the soundtrack as well as her acting.
